We never sell your personal data to anyone.

  • Household and app content you create, such as pantry items, recipes, grocery lists, collections, and activity updates.
  • Images and files you choose to upload (for example, recipe or receipt images).
  • Billing and subscription records for paid features (processed by our payment providers).
  • Technical and usage data, such as device/browser metadata, IP address, request logs, and app events needed for security, reliability, and performance.

What we do not collect or do

  • We do not sell personal data, and we do not share personal data with data brokers.
  • We do not store your ATProto/PDS password in Kich. Login is handled through your account host.
  • We do not use your private household content for third-party ad targeting.

What data may be public

Most household data in Kich is private by default. Some information may be public when you choose to share it in public features.

  • Public profile details, such as your handle, display name, and avatar.
  • Recipes or collections you explicitly mark as public.
  • Social activity intended for public visibility, such as public follows, likes, and shared activity tied to your account.

Pantry inventory, private household notes, and private grocery list details are not made public unless you explicitly share them.

How we use information

  • To operate core product features, including pantry tracking, recipe management, and grocery planning.
  • To authenticate users, secure accounts, and prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
  • To process subscriptions, payments, and account entitlements.
  • To improve reliability, debugging, and performance of the app.
  • To communicate product updates, service notifications, and support responses.

How data is shared

We share data only as needed to provide the service. Examples include:

  • Infrastructure and hosting providers that store and process app data on our behalf.
  • Payment and billing providers to handle subscriptions and transactions.
