    Bring water and salt to a boil; stir in grits. Cook gritsuntil done, following package directions. Remove from heat, and add next 4 ingredients; stir until butter and cheese melt.

    Add a small amount of hot grits to eggs, stirring well; stir into remaining grits. Pour grits into a lightly greased 2-quart baking dish. Bake at 325° for 1 hour.
